Edisson Wilfrido Cuenca Cuenca is an Ecuadorian professional in Agronomy, specializing in soils and agricultural sustainability. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from the National University of Colombia and a master’s degree in Soils from the National Agrarian University La Molina, Peru. His teaching experience includes undergraduate and graduate courses at the Technical University of Manabí and other Ecuadorian universities, where he teaches subjects such as soil fertility, fertilization, and pedology. He has led research on the efficient use of nutrients, primarily in crops such as cacao, cowpea beans, maize, and watermelon, as well as studies on acidic soil recovery and edaphic fertilization. He has published articles in indexed journals and participated as a speaker in scientific events on topics like nutrient absorption and fertilizer application. Currently, he serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering at the Technical University of Manabí and is actively involved in national and international academic networks.
