Strengthening community work

From the corregimiento of Las Flores, municipality of Dibulla - La Guajira, researchers Clara Delgado and Juan Pablo Garzón, under the Kolfaci and FONTAGRO projects: Regional alliances for the dissemination of iron and zinc-rich beans, led by researcher Adriana Tofiño, developed various activities to strengthen local plans of Afro-descendant communities for adaptation to extreme climate events.

A knowledge exchange meeting was held with members of the AXE community council for black people, where seeds of biofortified beans adapted to high temperature and drought conditions were provided, along with training in agricultural and beekeeping production to strengthen community work.
