On July 4th, the INTA Jacobacci Rural Extension Agency hosted a workshop titled "Animal Management Infrastructure Design Based on Good Livestock Practices," organized in conjunction with the Nehuen Co. Community.

During the workshop, key aspects for safe and efficient livestock management were addressed, including herding methods, current corral design, and the environmental conditions necessary for animal welfare. Based on a joint analysis with the participants, proposals for improvements were discussed to optimize infrastructure and ensure functional and safe livestock farming practices.
This workshop is part of the activities developed within the framework of the FONTAGRO projects "Indigenous Communities and Climate-Smart Research" and "WELL-BEING for the Resilience of Cattle Farms," ??which are being implemented in various innovation units in Patagonia.
These units plan to invest in corrals, chutes, and docks as part of strategies for adapting to climate change and improving animal welfare. At the end of the meeting, participants were given a guide for observing and evaluating the current infrastructure, along with a schedule of tasks related to future investments.
